I have always gotten a buzz, that feeling of achievement and satisfaction, when I have been able to help people. When I have been able to connect with them, learn with them. On a personal side when I have been scuba diving, travelling around the world, playing sport. From the business perspective whether teaching new IT systems, delivering On-Boarding programmes, rolling out SalesForce training across organisations, facilitating team effectiveness sessions or developing peoples managerial skills. I get my energy and enjoyment from connecting, learning, helping, and passing on knowledge to others.
So it shouldn’t have been a surprise then that I fell into coaching, but that is what happened. I went on a Fundamentals coaching course primarily to learn something new and see what I could use internally at my old company. I did learn something new. I discovered a world where you can really make a difference to people. A skill where you can help people. An industry that has growing because of how positively impactful it can be. I also learnt that it was a huge learning curve personally. And now I am using these newer skills to help others. So it is a good fit for me! Learning and sharing.
In combination with my career in Learning & Development, I utilise this in-built desire to guide, to assist, to help, to improve. I do this best by using curiosity, gentle humour, humility, patience and by breaking complex topics & ideas down into easy to understand language.
I have successfully combined all of these skills while working in large successful multi-national organisations. I have gained over 20 years of experience and knowledge working with Sales, Operations, Finance and Customer Service departments. So from going from graduating with a Masters degree from Lancaster University, to being certified in MBTI, DISC assessments & Challenger Sales methodology to name but a few. Importantly I am a certified coach, I have membership of the ICF and a qualification with the Chartered Institute of Personal and Development (CIPD).
I currently live in Munich, Germany and enjoy the outdoor life that living so close to the mountains and lakes allows.
PS Want to do some coaching while hiking in the mountains? I am definitely interested in that!
